This story pulls at your heart strings as it takes you on a journey of the life if a formidable individual. There is sorrow, pain, death, and where you think there cannot be, humour, wit, sassiness. It so well written you will not want to stop listening and every chapter grips you, commands your attenfion. Please read, Sherrilyn Kenyon is a wonderfully creative writer, her books are always excellent reads. I own lots of them.

This has been my favourite book for over 10 years and I’ve finally listened to the audio, and wow. The narrator’s ability to tell this tale is amazing, the way he can distinguish every single character is a testament to his talents

Was very unsure about this book at the start, but once it headed into the present day I really loved it. A great lead character and because the author allows key characters to die, it keeps the tension going and you rooting for Acheron.
