Intellectually lazy and (Ironically) dishonest
At the tail end of the Trump administration and everything it has entailed, I expected better from this book than the same tired argument that "both sides" are equally responsible for the increased political polarisation in our society.
The philosophy touted by this book reeks of intellectual laziness, completely dodging many important issues and dismissing the very real anxiety us young adults have for our future simply as "doomsaying".
In the year 2021, the science-fiction genre can and has produced far more transgressive and thought-provoking stories that don't need to constantly reference Star Wars to desperately pretend that they are cool and trendy.
