Summary
The phone starts vibrating in my hand. It's my father. He never calls. Pulse racing, I sit up in bed and answer. 'Caitlin,' he says. 'You need to come to the house. Right now. It's Olivia. She's back.'
On the night when Caitlin and Olivia's parents leave them to go to a dinner party, both girls are full of excitement about finally being old enough to stay home alone.
What they don't see is the figure watching them through the open window. Who, after the girls have fallen asleep, will turn the handle of the unlocked back door.
When their parents return, they will find Olivia's bed empty. Their eldest daughter gone. Never to return. Until now.
But is the woman who claims to be Olivia all she seems? Is everything Caitlin said she saw that night the whole truth?
Their family have dreamed of this moment, but both sisters are keeping more than one secret. What price will they all pay if they end up believing the wrong daughter?
The absolutely gripping psychological thriller from bestselling author Dandy Smith, with a killer twist you won't see coming.

what a twist
everything about this book is gripping never wanting it to end, and when it did, it was sad but happy

Gripping!
After a run of poor book choices, I picked this on a whim with little enthusiasm.
Lucky for me! Narration perfect, couldn’t fault it. Storyline gripping full of twists and turns and couldn’t guess the ending! Kept me hooked and gutted when it finished.
Would recommend!

Good Plot but the metaphors....
I really enjoyed the story and performance but the number of metaphors and similies used just felt too overdone for me.

lots of twists and turns
I enjoyed this book overall. I listened on Audible and thought the Irish accent of Gideon was dodgy to say the least. however good story. Without any spoilers I'd guessed Gideons storyline buy I enjoyed the puzzle as to why Elinors and Caitlins stories where running side by side without seemly any connection. would recommend.

Outstanding performances but it dis carry on ...
the narrators did such a grand job but the story did drag on a bit too long. By the end I was itching for it to be done. The book itself was good. I felt like if it was more concentrated and less drawn out it would have been better. Most of the characters apart from Flynn were vapid and unlikable. Not one person was a true friend which was sad.
