Summary
Life is full of second chances, if only you keep your heart open for them.
Spring Hill Square is a pretty sanctuary away from the bustle of everyday life. And at its centre is Leni Merryman's Teashop on the Corner, specialising in cake, bookish stationery and compassion. And for three people, all in need of a little TLC, it is somewhere to find a friend to lean on.
Carla Pride has just discovered that her late husband Martin was not who she thought he was. And now she must learn to put her marriage behind her and move forward.
Molly Jones's ex-husband Harvey has reappeared in her life after many years, wanting to put right the wrongs of the past before it is too late.
And Will Linton's business has gone bust and his wife has left him to pick up the pieces. Now he needs to gather the strength to start again.
Can all three find the comfort they are looking for in The Teashop on the Corner? And as their hearts are slowly mended by Leni, can they return the favour when she needs it most?

A lovely listen
Yet again Millie Johnson has wrote another fabulous book. I love the humour, contrasted with very real life and the sadness sometimes this can bring. Colleen Prendergast brings the stories to life. They are A superb partnership

ABSOLUTELY 😊 💓 BRILLIANT
Such a beautifuly written and narrated book. I really enjoyed listening to it even though it had quite a few f...k words in it that I did not approved of. But a brilliant story line and narration. Therefore I have decided to keep it rather than returning it for a refund as I normally would because of swear words.

Nice story but author seems fixated on weight
I mostly enjoyed this book. But it irked me a bit that the author made all the “bad” characters fat and over-emphasised weight and looks over other, more relevant traits. At the same time all the leading ladies were “slim” “small” etc.
Being fat doesn’t make you a bad person, just as being slim doesn’t make you good. Could have toned this down a bit.

Not quite the same as her usual fare.
I usually enjoy Milly Johnson escapist books, they are usually frothy nonsense. this one however I thought was very sad.
I normally listen to her books when I wake up and they send me back to sleep, but this one has so many damaged souls... even more than normal if that's possible I think I won't be listening to it again. it reduced me to tears

Delightful
Love Milly's books and find them just as delightful on repeat readings too. She deals with social issues with great sensitivity and makes me laugh and cry in equal measure. Here's to the next one - roll on.

Really loved this
Because of present personal circumstances this book really touched me and seemed to be sending me all sorts of messages
I had years in my eyes often but just as many smiles and I didn't want the story to end. Loved this book.

Wonderful
I just love Molly Johnson books. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this, the narration is perfect too. I could have listened to this book in one go but took my time as I wanted to savour the joy of the story.
I would highly recommend this book,

Pairing of writer and storyteller
Love Milly Johnsons books. Very much easy listen but good stories as well. Colleen Prendergast is outstanding as the narrator and I do look for her name under different titles. There are some ways she says things and I can hear Hayley Mills.
