Not sure

I am really not sure about this book. It is very complicated. Not as good as her other books.

Wonderful story.

My late mother, Parisian to her bones, would have loved this book as I did. Foley nails Paris and most of the people! Second of her books, " The Girl You Left Behind" I read recently, Lucy Foley captures the rest of France so vividly. Brilliant writer.

Ok but a bit difficult to get into.

The narration is good but the main character comes across as smug and arrogant and the accent is hard to listen to.. character sounds like a cat would if it could talk.

Holy Twist, Foley!

I thought that it was going to be pretty mundane half way through, but the ending really surprised me. as someone who grew up in Paris, I also thought that Lucy Foley got the feeling of the French capital right.
