Summary

Please note: This audio drama is for mature audiences only. It contains strong language, violence, and sexual content. Discretion is advised.

“Once this journey takes hold, I find I’m able to think as my character thinks, act as he acts, and feel what my character is feeling...”

James Patterson leads you into the darkest recesses of the mind with this chilling, immersive audio thriller. We meet Brent Quill, a frustrated actor trying to take his game to the next level. When he learns about the intensive Method acting process, he dives in deep—and immediately lands the lead role in a TV series about a brutal serial killer.

But when the Method’s controversial techniques start to take over Brent’s psyche, the lines between real life and acting begin to blur dangerously. How far will Brent go to “become” the character?

Starring Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Heroes), Stephanie Beatriz (Encanto, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), and a full cast, The Method is pure James Patterson—a roller-coaster ride of lies, coverups, and dark deeds.

fantastic - just enough suspense

this is James Patterson of the Alex Cross book, gets into your psyche ..... brilliantly acted, I got totally immersed - although I did find the agent a bit ott.... because it was so short the only character to build was Brent, it would make a great TV series.

Well written and produce

I did enjoy this piece, well written, good production but the killing relied on a good recall of what stunt training the perpetrator received a good way earlier in the book. This wasn't that important until the last attack where the victim didn't die (sorry for the spoiler but it's not unusual for this to happen and this is a review...).
The acting was good, very convincing, and what a treat to hear Jack Davenport's voice (readers of this review, try a TV show called Coupling. Perhaps that's funny-see what I did there?).
The twist at the end was not anticipated. Hadn't seen that one coming. I'll look for more from this team.

Brilliant!! ❤️

I love James Patterson and this audible was brilliant! One of the actors I love as well so was a surprise to see Stephaine starring in it!

More like a radio drama

Good story, marvellous characters. Quite sinister. Music adding to build suspense and atmosphere. Different style from most audio books I’ve listened to previously.

A good choice.

Refreshingly different, hugely entertaining, the story was captivating although a little short, well worth your time.

Just Good Entertainment

I didn’t find this a gripping story but it bowled along quite nicely as a good bit of fun entertainment. The twist at the end was a bit predictable but I’d recommend it as a gap-filler in between your favourites.

Great listening

It depends what you want out of an audible. This was a great listen, and I throughly enjoyed it. Even though I may have been swayed by being a fan of Zachary Quinto, honestly people stop being so flipping picky and just enjoy a little indulgence for once. Everyone wants to pick everything apart these days, enjoy something for yourself once in a while! It isn’t a crime… :)

Enjoyable

Enjoyable. Thought this was pretty fun with good performances. Why do I need 15 words though?!
