Summary
Two point eight million teenagers have had at least one major depressive episode in their lives. Is your child one of them?
Have you noticed that your kid is always angry or frustrated, even over small matters? Have they lost interest or stopped making an effort to communicate with you or their friends? Are they tired all the time, yet insomniac and always agitated and restless? If you've answered "yes" to any of those questions, then you may be dealing with a depressed and/or anxious teen. Between trying to establish an identity, become more independent, discover their sexuality, take more social risks, and even experiment with alcohol and drugs, this period in your teen's life comes at a high emotional and mental cost. But behind all the natural turmoil of the teenage years may hide a bigger and more treacherous problem that, if left unresolved, can lead to devastating consequences. It may seem overwhelming at first, but you need to know that it's not at all uncommon. In The Anxious Teenager, you will discover:
- How to pinpoint the true symptoms of depression and anxiety, so you can tell the difference between normal teenage behavior and behavior caused by a mental health condition
- The crucial changes you need to adopt in your everyday life to help make your teen's depression and anxiety less overwhelming for both you and them
- Key strategies to become the safe space your kid needs, allowing them to trust you and open up to you more easily
- How to become less judgmental in order to communicate with your teen gently and kindly, providing the structure and support they need during these difficult times
- The number one mistake parents with depressed children make that can make or break your relationship with your depressed teen
- And much more...
So if you want to understand your teen, then you need this audiobook today!

We can all relate when we were teenagers and how anxious, scared, fearful, clueless, depressed, excited, etc., we were. So it is not a surprise teenagers today are experiencing the same. The good thing is that. a book like this exist, and teenagers can get the help and guidance they need. I enjoyed listening to it, and it is assisting me in guiding teenagers today.

A must read for parents of teens
Just being a teenager is anxiety provoking. But some teens suffer with it more than others. A couple of my close friends have children that are suffering from anxiety and depression. I wanted to check out this resource before I recommended it. After listening to the audiobook, I feel confident recommending this book. I like that it is a collaborative approach with the teen involved. I also liked that there is an emphasis on the parents needing to understand what the teen is experiencing before they can help the teen. Having parents that are supportive and understand what the teen is going through can make all the difference in the world – this book provides that understanding and offers useful information to help parents become a safe place for their teens.

Fantastic helpful content!
I realized a month ago that we don't communicate with my boy anymore like before. Even if we talk it's just an argument and then he just spends the whole day in the room alone. Probably something affected him from school or whatever. But as I researched and also thanks to this book he had depression. This content teach me how to approach him again in a nice way and show him back the way to normal and develop himself! Today we have already communicated more our relationship is back to normal. I can just recommend this book to any of the parents who realized anything about their anxious children.

Clear Strategies!
Teenagers these days have major depressive episodes in their lives due to so many external factors that get to them, the books help with strategies to use to help understand teens when they are angry or frustrated with no balance. There are ways to go about these things and the author has shared some of the techniques here in the book to realize mental health situations on time and act appropriately.

More than ever we need to support each other now. last 2 years had a great impact on everyone but i'd say teenagers especially. we can not really lie to them anymore and it is hard to pretend so they are especially effected by lockdowns etc. this book is a great help. it helps understand your teen mentality and fears.

Solid advice for parents of teenager children
I really appreciate the honesty and vulnerability of the author. This audiobook is an invaluable tool for parents whose teenage children are experiencing depressive episodes, of which the parents themselves are often unaware.
I especially appreciate the section on listening – an apparently simple activity which so frequently we get wrong. The author went into detail about the dynamics of listening to our teenagers.
As the mother of a teenager myself I find this audiobook inspiring and recommend it without hesitation.

You need to listen to this!
Anxiety and depression are so prevalent and sometimes not noticed. This audiobook will guide you through identifying the symptoms and the best strategies to improve mental health. My favorite part was the section on the mistakes that parents make. I think although parents act out of love, a lot of time we make it worse. Highly recommend! You will learn a ton whether you think your teener is suffering or not—a joy to listen to.
