Summary

My boss Elliot Levy is intolerable, and I tell him so every day…

...in the little notes I write and then hide in the back of my desk.

I can't exactly say to his face that I'm convinced he's a cyborg, considering I'm about to become a single mother, and I really need to keep my job as his assistant.

Elliot never looks at me, so he doesn't even notice I'm pregnant until I'm seven months along. The first thing he asks is if I'm planning to come back to work once I have the baby.

Not unexpected. What is unexpected is Elliot coming to my rescue when I need a place to stay after my daughter is born. While living with him, I get to see a whole other side of him…especially when he walks around his house without a shirt on—which he does all the time.

I shouldn't look, but I can't help it. He's gorgeous in a suit, but out of one? Devastating.

Elliot shows me he isn't the heartless robot I once thought. It's still terrifying to take a chance on him, even when he holds my baby like she's precious to him, and he touches me like he's been longing to for ages.

Now that he has me, he isn't letting me go without a fight.

And Elliot Levy didn't get where he is in business without learning a few underhanded tricks. What will he do to keep me? To keep us?

P.S. I think I'm falling for you.

Loved it!

Loved the book but the audible made it soooo much better! Elliot and Catherine’s love story was amazing and I’m sorry but felt like Miles stole the show with his performance - can’t wait for his book to come out

A fun lighthearted read

Such a sweet and easy read. Catherine our FMC finds herself unexpectedly pregnant after a ONS with her friend Liam, they also happen to be trying to flip a house together but funds are tight so she finds herself in need of a job. Enter Elliot our MMC the CEO of his own company who needs a new assistant and decides Catherine is the one for the job. Fast forward a few months of her working for Elliot and them forming a friendship of sorts and a heavily pregnant Catherine is abandoned by Liam with debt up to her eyeballs and a house falling down around her and the arrival of her daughter imminent. After her daughter arrives and Elliot realises the bad situation mum & baby are in he immediately steps up and moves them in with him and it's from there that we get to see the slow development of him falling for Catherine and her baby girl Josephine.

This gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings, it was a low angst cutesy read that demonstrated good communication between the MCs for the most part, what a supportive partner should look like and I really enjoyed how the relationship between them developed. The scenes with Elliot and the baby were adorable and I really liked the side characters, this is the first book of this series I have read as its the one my mood reading self was in the mood for, I'm aware that the previous two books are some of the side characters stories but the fact I haven't read them yet made no difference to my enjoyment of this story. It can be read as a standalone, but I will definitely be reading the others when the mood strikes. The banter & spice was good, I wish more had been done with the postscript bit within the story as it would've been really cute to have had more of that. Overall a lighthearted enjoyable read. 🌶🌶
