"good book but not worth buying"
this book told me pretty much everything I already knew. he claims all kinds of studies but gives no sources. I found it was an easy quick read and it will give you the foundations but honestly you could find this all on YouTube so save your time and money
"Good Concept - Poor Execution"
I very much agree with the concept of IF and am a practitioner. That being said, this book does a lot to undermine the idea that IF is more than a bro-science concept. The entire book sounds like a bro's forum post. His descriptions of how awesome you'll feel and how you shouldn't eat stupidly large portions sound less like sound advice and more like a high schooler trying to hit a word count.
"Monotonous and Lackluster"
The content provided by this book, could have been provided in 3 or 4 chapters. It felt as if the author stretched the contents out over the 12 chapters, to make the book seem more in depth, but it lacked just that. There are very vague explanations of the science involved with intermittent fasting and even less explanations of what the fasting party should expect. I am very disappointed in this book.
"Accurate and truthful information"
Great book, I've done a lot of research on IF and this is accurate and sums up the important parts of what you need to know to start.
"The author is not a credible authority"
The presentation is a watered down info one can easily find on an auto generated website. It is then read out loud for your consumption. I am asking for my money back.
"easy enough for beginners"
good beginners book ....short sweet and to the point! more than one way to skin a cat .....but this offers one way for someone looking to make a change an answer to get moving in the right direction
so you say bcaa are fine? what about protein after the workout? I've been doing a 17 7 split. this book gave me more information about fasting.
"Good but not great"
For the brevity in which the author explains his thesis, this book is really really good. The only area lacking is the scientific evidence to back up his claims. Although, his claims are valid and worth trying, evidence supporting the various modes of IF would have made this book much much better. Still definitely worth reading.
"Can Do Fast"
Yes, I plan to go back and reference it during my fast for support.
I was surprised when I found out exactly what it was, and instantly realized this is something I can do.
I'll try this soon, sounds great but I'm not sure if I'll encounter hunger cravings early on. I will just have to try wnd see what happens.
