It is Jon and mindfulness, what else?
I have known a few masters of mindfulness but Jon is the master of life. Learning from him and listenning to his voice can give you lots of wisdom. Thanks Jon!

Clear, useful and well read
I have come across the author before during a course on stress management and decided to download this audio book. It is read by the author and he has a very pleasant easy-going voice and a great deal of experience in presenting this type of material. The result is that he gets the information across well.
As the concepts require thinking about, it is worth putting aside a bit of time to actually listen to the content: I found myself listening more than once and still enjoying it. Putting the concepts into practice is very rewarding.
All in all a very good listen / read

A very good introduction
As a reasonably experienced meditator myself I would say this book is a very good introduction to mindfulness and mindfulness meditation and I would recommend it to anyone who is new to mediation or wants to learn about MBSR. However, I would like to strike a note of caution, it may sound obvious to some, but I do think it is worth saying that, one can not learn something that, to quote Jon Kabat-Zinn is so "simple, but not easy" from a book alone. I recommend finding a teacher that you feel you can trust.
In regard to the audio book itself I was a little surprised upon seeing JK-Z speaking in person that his enthusiasm for MBRS is not communicated as readily in this recording.

A fantastic insight into meditation
Any additional comments?
This is a must read for anyone that is interested in meditation whether you are new to the subject or you have been practicing for years. Jon Kabat-Zinn covers almost every aspect of meditation and the benefits that it can bring to our lives. He has a fantastic voice which is easy to listen to. He also has a guided meditation series which covers the meditations that he speaks of in this book which can be found on Amazon. If you enjoyed this book you should definitely give this series a go. He also has meditations on Audible although I have not listened to it yet. I would highly recommend this book.

very helpful or adjusting to life with pain
Has Full Catastrophe Living put you off other books in this genre?
no
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
I think Jon Kabat Zinn should have used a professional voiceover artist
Any additional comments?
This is a highly significant book for those who are adjusting to chronic pain. Highly recommended, but the voice is irritating as a its sounds nasal and accented.
