Within a few paragraphs, pages at the most, you will know, care about and befriend Sarah, Lauretta, Jimmy, Daniela and all of the protagonists in my novels. It is this relationship that will carry you through their adventures, to come to love their friends and despise their enemies. You'll feel their confusion, concerns, fears and joys as they explore the unknown, both within themselves and beyond their realms of existence. What would happen if everything manmade disappeared from the face of the earth? Sarah and her daughters, Jazz and Janie, as they escape from her brutal husband in First Steps, find themselves in an earth transformed, where they battle evil, explore true love, become part of a huge family and learn to live in a world devoid of anything humans had built before the Storm. This is the Reset series, including Entwined and Parasite. I read two articles that inspired the book Freed. One told of a lonely man whose beloved wife of many decades has passed. He's withering away. In the article he dies, leaving children and grandchildren behind. I wondered, would his wife have wanted this for him and her family? The other was about a prostitute who'd been sucked into the business at an early age to escape brutality at home, only to have been killed. It was when they visited her tiny apartment and found brilliant works from her hand that the loss was most felt. Freed is the story of how both of these people were allowed different outcomes, freed of the certain disasters they were facing, by someone who loved them both. I met an extraordinary woman named Lauretta, who though developmentally challenged, lights up any room she enters and lifts the darkest of emotions from the souls of those she encounters. I was given the opportunity by her mother to craft a novel starring Lauretta and was thrilled when her mother fell in love with my story. My stories explore life beyond what we see and feel, what we are told is all there is. I grew up in a truly haunted house, and so, no matter what anyone tells you, I know that ghosts are very real. I have many friends who feel or know that there is something more beyond our simple human experiences. I hope my stories allow you to enjoy the idea, even if you don't personally believe. I trust in love. It's at the core of all of my books: finding true love, moving on from the depths of love lost to find it again, and the love of a mother for her daughter. My next book, Dangerous Prey, staring Detective Daniela Garcia, is a crime story that surrounds the struggle to find love when faced with addiction. Writing is my deep passion. I work hard to make sure women read my novels to make sure my female heroes are authentic. All my books are professionally edited and designed.
