Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Marco immigrated to the U.S. in 2011. An alumnus of Neptali Rincon Art School and Centro de Bellas Artes de Maracaibo. Marco received his B.F.A. from the University of Zulia and his M.F.A. from The Art Institute | Miami International University of Art and Design. He currently lives in Miami, Florida, with his husband. Previously worked at Istituto Marangoni and Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB) as an adjunct professor. He creates works inspired by romantic and existentialist stories in search of universal hope. Influenced by his core values, Caridad’s works, sometimes abstract and sometimes figurative, maintain a juxtaposition of textures or figures as a poetic reflection of his environment. His works are part of collections in Australia, Venezuela, and the U.S.A. Caridad is an art director for Hard Rock International, and he has worked on projects for Lenny Kravitz, Miami City Ballet, among others.
