Malcolm is a retired veterinarian and author of three fictionalized novels about a young vet during his first two years in practice.The first, Pets in a Pickle, reached number 2 on the UK Kindle bestsellers' list in 2011. It was a Nook Book Friday freebie and had over 65K hits and 450 reviews, over half of them 5 star. His third book in the series, Pets Aplenty, was a finalist in the UK People's Book Prize 2015. Malcolm's memoir, An Armful of Animals, published September 2018, is a series of very personal and heartfelt stories of the animals that have influenced his life from a youngster in Nigeria through to his early days as a qualified veterinarian. Malcolm is also a feature writer and has provided copy for national newspapers such as The Daily Mail and for magazines such as Dorset Life, Parrots Magazine and Cat World. He has written over 80 features for the UK's women's journal, The People's Friend. His plethora of animal anecdotes, related in a witty way, has enabled him to become a guest speaker on cruise ships, with currently 44 completed worldwide.
