Lindsey Biel, M.A., OTR/L is an occupational therapist in New York City specializing in pediatrics. She has worked with infants, toddlers, schoolage children, adolescents, and adults with diagnoses including sensory processing disorder, autistic spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, learning disorders, and emotional/mood difficulties. She is a popular speaker across the country, running workshops and speaking at conferences to parents, teachers, therapists, and others about how to help children with special needs, especially those with sensory challenges. Prior to becoming an OT, Lindsey worked as a freelance writer. Nonprofessional memberships include the National Coalition Against Censorship, the Jane Goodall Institute, and The Gorilla Foundation.
