Dr. Jodi Mindell is the Associate Director of the Sleep Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a Professor of Psychology and Director of Graduate Psychology at Saint Joseph’s University. Dr. Mindell is also the Chair of the Advisory Board of the Pediatric Sleep Council that created the popular website www.Babysleep.com, a free resource for parents and practitioners. Dr. Mindell has written extensively on pediatric sleep disorders with over 100 publications and over 300 presentations at national and international conferences. She is the author of Sleeping Through the Night: How Infants, Toddlers, and Their Parents Can Get a Good Night’s Sleep (HarperCollins) and co-author of A Clinical Guide to Pediatric Sleep: Diagnosis and Management of Sleep Problems (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins) and Take Charge of Your Child’s Sleep: The All-in-One Resource for Solving Sleep Problems in Kids and Teens (Marlowe). Dr. Mindell has appeared extensively on programs such as the Today Show, NBC Nightly News, and Good Morning America, and has been quoted extensively in numerous publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Parents Magazine, USA Today, Real Simple, as well as can be heard on news programs and podcasts including NPR, One Bad Mother, and Think, Act, BE. She is on the Board of Advisers of Parents magazine and has worked extensively with Johnson’s Baby. She also has been on the Board of Directors of the National Sleep Foundation, a foundation established to educate the public about sleep and sleep disorders, and the Sleep Research Society.
