Connally Gilliam holds a Master of Teaching (English) from the University of Virginia and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Regent College (Vancouver, BC), where she serves on the Board of Governors. She is the author of "Revelations of a Single Woman: loving the life i didn't expect" (Tyndale, 2005), and, with co-author Paula Rinehart, the soon to be released "...And Yet Undaunted: Embraced by the Goodness of God in the Chaos of Life" (NavPress, 2019). Connally speaks internationally to a variety of audiences, weaving together the life-giving wisdom of the Christian Scriptures with personal narrative to address questions of contemporary faith. She loves to do this particularly in light of pressing cultural issues (e.g. gender & sexuality, ethnic division & oneness, and community & loneliness). Initially a high school English teacher and then a college writing instructor--followed by a two-year stint at an international public policy think tank--for the past 20 years, she has worked with a faith-based non-profit, the US Navigators. She's motivated by a deep desire to help build a robust and joy-laced faith among mentorees, readers, and her broad-based audiences.
