It has been a long time coming. The thought of writing a book, my story, has been at the forefront of my mind for many, many years. I know that God wanted this book to be written. I have no doubt. It has been proven to me over and over again. I am a slow learner, but I finally caught His vision for me, for you. I know that we have experiences in life so we can help others. Our loving Heavenly Father wants you to be released from your pain, and by doing so, He knows you will find you are able to fulfill your purpose, as well as experience joy in this life, just as He has offered it me. I share with you the sordid details of my past and the magnificent process of healing. When you read about my experience hearing author, speaker, and instructor, John Bytheway tell the story of a woman with my similar story, keep in mind I had no idea that he had not planned to share that story that evening at the Time Out For Women Conference I attended more than a decade ago. I did not learn this truth until just as I was finishing writing this book. When I learned this, just recently, once more I received the powerful confirmation that God is in the details of our lives. He is aware of each of us and truly desires happiness and peace for us all. As the reader, you will find names attached to the stories, all true stories. Each of the names were changed to protect those I love. Additionally, the experiences I share throughout are mostly sequential, although sometimes as I tell the story, I find myself in deep thought of another particular memory. These memories often jogged yet other memories, prompting me to travel in a different direction to add context before returning to the original thought. Stay with me, though, everything comes together in the end.
