Summary

It's not stealing if he's meant to be mine.

Let me tell you how Holden Sykes operates.

As the campus playboy and one-and-done king, he doesn’t do strings.

Or repeats.

Or names, for that matter.

So when he tries making my best friend the next notch on his bedpost, I react poorly.

Some would call it jealousy or an unrequited crush,

but friends protect each other from making mistakes.

The same ones I’ve already made.

Which is why driving Holden away seems like my only option.

Too bad he’s not giving up without a fight.

Each prank leads to another

until he turns this into a game far more precarious than intended.

One filled with stolen moments and heated glances,

drawing me into his orbit.

But the undeniable attraction simmering between us

leaves me caught in the crosshairs of an impossible decision.

Loyalty...or love.

*Caught Stealing is the second in a five book standalone college sports romance series featuring a road-tripping rubber ducky, two guys fighting for the upper hand, and enough cock-blocking shenanigans to make your cheeks flush. Not suitable for anyone under 18 years of age*

Great story! Sadly, a difficult narration to listen too IMO

I really loved this story, it’s so well written! but the narration was difficult to get through for me personally.
There was some scenes that you could feel the emotion in their voices when reading and that was great but throughout the rest of the narration, they both spoke in such a low monotone drone that it was really hard to notice the difference between the two characters. Plus, the low parts were so low I couldn’t hear what they were saying but then I’d turn the volume up and the next section was so loud it hurt my ears 🙈

I had to really zone in on who was actually speaking to realise it was either Holden or Nix.

*** SPOILERS BELOW***

Anyway, back to the story. I really enjoyed the whole thing. The first half with all the angry sexual tension, gazes and doing things they really shouldn’t was so hot and it only ramped up from there. Especially the first shower scene, holy hell.

However, I get that the entire story was about betraying a best friends trust but the whole having to take a break from each other and moving to another place to ensure that distance stays there (for now) does seem a bit extreme when they’re as close as they are. I get that they don’t want to rely on each other for everything but that doesn’t mean you then have to totally be apart from each other because that’s where you start to grow apart and it would be so sad for both of them.

I think not depending on each other is more than enough to ask, I just hope they’re still as close friends when they’re done with their ‘break’

That being said, I can’t wait for the third book to be released :D

Excellent story 👏👏👏

I absolutely loved every second of this beautiful, funny story which was full of great banter and emotional feelings, all brought to life by brilliant narration. I can’t wait on the other 3 books to come on here.

Almost a 5 star sweep!!

This is the second book of a series and actually shares many characteristics of the first - naturally - good & bad.

The bad includes way too many chapters of the two protagonists being irritating to each other - just starts to become frustrating - as does the oft repeated plot point of poor communication causing unnecessary friction.

However, there is a BIG ‘but’!

The sex is written well - but the story is also full of love - the kind of love everyone dreams of finding - that once in a lifetime love where two soulmates find each other and everything else falls into place.

These elements are so well written and so well performed that they can stir an emotional reaction on many occasions - these things are SO good that they make you forget the endless chapters of irritation.

So overall it was worth it - Nix & Hold go on quite the journey and at times it’s breathtaking.
