Number-one New York Times best-selling author Diana Gabaldon returns to her Outlander universe in The Space Between, an irresistible novella brimming with adventure, history, and suspense - and available for the first time as a standalone audiobook.

Joan MacKimmie is on her way to Paris to take up her vocation as a nun. Yet her decision is less a matter of faith than fear, for Joan is plagued by mysterious voices that speak of the future, and by visions that mark those about to die. The sanctuary of the nunnery promises respite from these unwanted visitations...or so she prays. Her chaperone is Michael Murray, a young widower who, though he still mourns the death of his wife, finds himself powerfully drawn to his charge.

But when the time-traveling Comte St. Germain learns of Joan’s presence in Paris, and of her link to Claire Fraser - La Dame Blanche - Murray is drawn into a battle whose stakes are not merely the life but the very soul of the Scotswoman who, without even trying, has won his heart.

Another excellent story from the Outlander universe. This one is about Joan & Michael and a few more!! Opens up more questions which I hope will be answered by Diana Gabaldon in later books or novellas. Performance by Davina Porter is outstanding as always.

Another excellent Outlander novella

Loved Outlander series and this gives extra padding to that saga. Surprising intrigue, well narrated.

If you enjoyed the Outlander books, this is a great wee side story you’ll find interesting. Good narration.

A treat for those who wanted to see the Maître Raymond character again. I don't suppose many Outlander inlanders will have been expecting to see le Comte again. A considered and historically researched side-novella with crossover characters and common leitmotifs.

Finally a non-main series audiobook read by the amazing Davina Porter. I, unlike some commentators, liked Jeff Woodman as Lord John series narrator, but for this one Davina couldn't be bettered. Now, Maîtresse, if you happen to be reading, please tell your Bees that we are all getting jolly impatient! I wonder if we will ever find out what happens next to all of the vivid characters from this work.

Addendum:

Not sure why exactly the same work and reading is being sold to me again under a slightly different totle and cover (just minus the words "An Outlander Novella". Is this good practice, Amazon? I don't think so. I have fo dock one point from the "overall" category of course the story and performance are as good as ever, just the monkey business leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Short but sweet
