Hiring the chaotic woman I pulled out of a shed fire to be my daughter’s nanny was a bad idea. Letting her live with me? Even worse.

Chloe Bradshaw is too vibrant, too bold, and way too young for me. She’s pure sunshine-in-a-hurricane energy and the exact opposite of the calm, steady influence my daughter needs.

But Emma adores her from the second they meet, and I’d do anything for my little girl. Including sharing a roof with the one woman I shouldn’t want.

Chloe’s the walking definition of off-limits. And one hell of a temptation I can’t stop thinking about.

Between midnight snack run-ins, hair-braiding lessons, and the way she looks in my stolen hoodie, forbidden stopped being a warning and started feeling like a dare.

I swore I wouldn’t cross that line with her. Then I did. Again. And again.

And now, what we both swore was only temporary is starting to feel like it could be real. Suddenly, I’m not just her boss or her landlord. I’m the guy threatening to burn down anything that hurts her.

But the end date of our arrangement is looming, and her suitcase is still half-packed. She says she’s not staying. I say she’s already mine.

A warm, steamy friends-to-lovers romance set in a cozy small town. The chemistry and the emotional build-up was just amazing, The spice is a solid 10 stars, and it’s one of those books you get completely wrapped up in and honestly don’t want it to end.

The narration for this book was perfection. Connor is one of my favorite narrators and he was perfect as Xander, Vanessa was incredible, the different voices she did for Chloe and Emma and the emotion and humor she put in to it. The way they both switched between the different family members and how they made it clear who was speaking was incredible, that is hard to do but they nailed it.

I don’t know which relationship I liked more in this book, Xander and Chloe, the whole Steele family or Xander and Emma because they were all equally great.
I loved the dynamic between the brothers in the first book but in this books it was even better. And that family group chat is hilarious.

But then there are Xander and Chloe, the fire between them could not be extinguished no matter how bad fire’Chief’ Xander wanted too. These two were unavoidable.
The slow burn between grumpy and quiet Xander and sparkly and chaotic Chloe was everything.

My favorite Steele brother so far

Loved being back in Starlight Cove 😍 The narration was brilliant. Conner Crais well what can I say, amazing as always. But Vanessa Edwin and how she switched effortlessly between Chloe & Emma was the best ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best duet narration ⭐️⭐️⭐️
