A serial killer at large. A detective pushed to his limits. Who will win the killing game?

Still reeling from the devastating revelations about his own family, DI Simon Wise has no time to catch his breath. A killer is stalking the lost souls of London and leaving a trail of bodies in his wake. Short of resources, the Murder Investigation Team from Kennington Police Station are pushed to their limit as they try to stop more deaths from taking place across the capital.

Wise and his team soon find themselves caught up in the killer's murderous game and only the winner will survive.

THE KILLING GAME is the second book in the DI Simon Wise Crime Thriller series, set on the streets of London. If you like gripping police procedurals, dark characters, and a relentless pace, then this book is for you.

As usual Colin Mace delivered the narration perfectly, his subtle change in accent and tone makes it easy to tell who is talking rather than as other narraters have done with constant "he said , she said" to clarify who is speaking.

The twist and turns keep the story really interesting

This is Book 2 in the DI Simon Wise series and it is excellent. I highly recommend this book and encourage you to read/listen to Book 1 so you do not miss out on any of the plots - I won’t add any further information here as I do not wish to spoil it for anyone. There is also a novella that is a prequel & worth listening to.

Narration is by the excellent Colin Mace who brings it to life and manages to make the listener feel the anxiety of the characters especially in faster paced scenes in the book.

Looking forward to Book 3. Happy listening.

Excellent Book

I've alluded to the cancer element in my title but in no way should this be a negative for the book. as some one with stage 4 lung cancer and who listens to books to relax on an evening there were some difficult parts for me to listen too. if I had known about this prior to me reading i might have skipped this one. however that being said I thought the book was overall good, colin mace exceptional as always. if marked it a little lower as I felt the end was massively rushed. to the point where I had assumed i had missed a few chapters and it had me scrolling back.

difficult read if you have cancer

An excellent 2nd instalment, great story line, building on the first book. Can’t wait for the next one. Colin Mace’s narration is great as always..
