A twisted serial killer. A deadly game of cat and mouse. Can DI Ruth Hunter catch a crazed psychopath who seems intent on destroying her life?

DI Ruth Hunter hopes that settling in Snowdonia will melt away the grief of a missing partner. Burying herself in her work, she senses that her current missing persons case isn't all that it seems. When a man's body turns up torn to pieces, Ruth realizes that she is now tracking a deadly serial killer. Working with her fiercely patriotic Welsh partner, DI Hunter soon has a prime suspect in her sights - although he seems to always be one step ahead of them. When the killer begins to claim a personal connection to her, Ruth fears a grisly end to her and her family.

The Dee Valley Killings is the third book in the acclaimed DI Ruth Hunter Crime Thriller series. If you like dark, psychologically complex characters and a gripping roller coaster of a plot, then this book is for you.

This had me gripped from the start. Incredibly creepy with twists and turns all over the place. It was hard to stop listening and this is my favourite of the series so far. Really good.

When you are listening to a book and you get that engrossed , you actually forget you are supposed to be eating food , you know it’s got you hooked .. Brilliantly written by Simon McCleave and narration by Deryn .. highly recommend

A good story to have on in the background. I think I’d get fed up with’Ruth’ if I was reading the book. Thank goodness our real female police officers aren’t as dozy as ‘Ruth’!

Another good story

The series continues to be brilliant, as does the narration by Deryn Edwards. I have just bought book number 4!! 😀

Great series

I am working my way through this series. I have enjoyed them all - good stories and mostly good narration. I do enjoy the narrator’s voice and delivery but like so many others have commented, the pronunciation of Welsh place names in this series is very annoying. I could forgive difficulty with ‘ll’, ‘ch’ etc but the narrator seems to think that Welsh place names must always have the emphasis on the last syllable. Imagine listening to a book about London or Bristol and having the emphasis on the final syllable all the time. It surely can’t be too difficult to get it right.

Love this series
