When a Wrexham based businessman is found murdered across the border in Heswall on The Wirral, Ruth and the Llancastell CID team must work with Merseyside Police to solve the crime. It seems that a fatal accident on a local building site might provide the motive.

When Ruth discovers that a gang in Birkenhead have been using intimidation to steal valuable machinery, the focus of the investigation changes. Ruth and her CID team must pursue the dangerous suspects in a deadly game and stop them before there is another cold-blooded killing.

The Wirral Killings is the twentieth book in Simon McCleave’s DI Ruth Hunter Crime Thriller Snowdonia series which has now hit over 2.5 million sales. If you like chilling police procedurals, true-to-life characters, and psychological twists, then you’ll love Simon McCleave’s thrill ride. Perfect for fans of JD Kirk, JM Dalgleish, Rachel McLean and LJ Ross.

I’m a real fan of the DI Ruth Hunter books, but the constant digs at England and the English is so tedious. Maybe Simon Mccleave should just market his next book in Wales.

Narration is great. Story is meh.

Lacks vocabulary. If they withdrew the word withering. This story would be significantly shorter. Think I need time away from this series.

Lack of originality. So similar to previous books.

Long awaited after the cliffhanger of the previous book, but well worth the wait!! Seriously well written and well narrated as always with great relationships between the characters and fan ongoing storylines. Not to mention another cliffhanger…..

Long awaited and awesome!
