Really enjoyed listening to this book - honestly made me wonder for the sanity of the author though! What a twisted story.

kept me gripped throughout. interesting theme although didn't quite get the plot twist at the end

It was the reviews that made me choose this book. How it was just a compelling and interesting storyline. Now ‘interesting’ is an understatement. This book is brilliant! I was captivated by the story, how something so horrifying could be beautiful at the same time! The butterflies live such a tragic life but find love and happiness from each other. How they remain strong to survive, with all the hurt (emotional and physical). Also how the Gardner is a monster but shows compassion and love towards the butterflies. It’s odd but in a good way and an intriguing read! This is so well written and narrated, I’ll definitely be reading more books from this author!

Despite the American accent (which I usually can't stand) the narrators show the emotion and seriousness of the book

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It gave me nightmares, some scenes are very disturbing. However, there are also strong senses of companionship, trust and friendship.

Any additional comments?

Well worth a listen, as long as you aren't too disturbed by distressing scenes including children.
