Four months after the explosion at the Garden, a place where young women known as the Butterflies were kept captive, FBI agents Brandon Eddison, Victor Hanoverian, and Mercedes Ramirez are still entrenched in the aftermath, helping survivors in the process of adjusting to life on the outside. With winter coming to an end, the Butterflies have longer, warmer days of healing ahead. But for the agents, the impending thaw means one gruesome thing: a chilling guarantee that somewhere in the country, another young woman will turn up dead in a church with her throat slit and her body surrounded by flowers.

Priya Sravasti's sister fell victim to the killer years ago. Now she and her mother move every few months, hoping for a new beginning. But when she ends up in the madman's crosshairs, the hunt takes on new urgency. Only with Priya's help can the killer be found - but will her desperate hope for closure compel her to put her very life on the line?

the narrators do a good job (except when the guy is doing Priyas mum. he murders that accent)

the butterfly garden was really imaginative but this was kind of just an average, pretty predictable, murder mystery.

the author also has some really odd ideas of what you should do if you find out someone has binged on oreos. Probably avoid following this example

good but not as good as the butterfly garden

Another excellent book from Dot Hutchison! How does this woman do it? Come up with amazing plots and such wonderful descriptive writing that it’s impossible to leave the story . Only my secon off her books but already a confirmed fan!

Excellent.

The beginning had me intrigued, and the killer's inner monologue was genuinely eerie, uncomfortable and unsettling. I loved Priya's resilience, getting to see more of Eddison's personality, and having the Butterfly girls involved again.

Unfortunately, the story didn't quite live up to its promising start. The psychological elements were strong, but the ending fell flat for me and left me feeling underwhelmed. I wanted a stronger payoff after such an intriguing setup.

An interesting read with memorable characters and an unsettling atmosphere, but ultimately a little disappointing.

so very in love with this story you have created and the intertwining between the first and second book yet theres so much more you get to learn about the characters from the first book as you are sunk deep into this new story. i have so much praise for the brilliant writing style and encapsulating stories Dot Huchison creates and i will be eagerly waiting for ALL future stories.

addicted.
