What do you do when there is No One Near...

High in the Welsh hills, a honeymoon getaway takes a dark turn when a rotting corpse is discovered in the rental property’s bedroom.

In a dark, cold and damp December, DCI Evan Warlow and his team head out to investigate.

They find a victim who may not be as innocent as he first seems, and a rural community harbouring the worst kind of secrets.

When a second victim is attacked and a third goes missing, Evan knows he’s up against a rogue killer with a Christmas list of his own.

And it’s a deadly one.Can he unmask the culprit before the season's festivities turn into a bloodbath?

These books by Dylan would be great TV series. The attention to detail, the crime mystery and the humour and banter between characters is brilliant

great characters

I love these books and have enjoyed many hours listening to them. It’s so frustrating that the remaining three books of the series are not on audible. A great shame as I would have been happy to buy them all.

Fantastic…my go to books but…

I love this series. Great stories, warm characters and set in beautiful rural area. I love the Welsh accent and humour which is as well as I live in the marches. I always check to see if another installment has appeared when I finish another series. It makes me smile when I know I can settle down with another episode. It's always something to look forward to.

Another great story in this excellent series.

The descriptions of people and the landscape of Wales from North to South! Also enjoyed all the technical and health related expertise. Cultural and language experience benefitted from great narration.

Atmospheric, great characters you can almost feel the wind.
