As Max and the team defeat yet another boss in the tower, they quickly realize that they are facing harder things than most.

Love the comedy, the way the story flows is great. I'll be looking forward to the next book if only they where alittle longer or I stopped listening so much, the enjoyment would last a couple days longer.

Great pacing

The storyline is great, it hasnt peaked too soon like so many in this genre do making the later books incoherent rambling nonsense. The only criticism I have is the narrator the screaming and shouting is unnecessary and I can't decipher what is being said also wearing earplugs makes the screaming even more annoying.
Then there are the voices used for the characters going from a squeaky dog's toy on helium to a deep base that in all likelihood can only be heard properly by the sperm whale.
The accents, again yet another annoyance not just that it makes listening to the book a chore because I find myself wondering what accent is he trying to use rather than what is being said. It is also insulting to the people who have those accents by butchering them.
It is such a great pity because his narration is otherwise brilliant if he would just cut out the nonsense but if you're a fan of the likes of Jeff Hays you'll love the narration.

This series is very good. great even. but the Narrator is terrible. I wish it would have been read up by some one els. the volume goes up and down. some times it feels like he is yelling. very anoying.

F tier book, We get guns, but can't use em because That would be unfair. Unlike the tsunami of fire or literall lightningstorm summoned by mages.

The voice actor clearly doesn't care and just screams whenever acting would be needed.

Also the voice actor seems to have had a stroke at chapter 260

A new low. The prose is repetitive and often obscures rather than clarifies what’s happening.

Honestly, I'm kind of dissapointed. This storyline had so much potential and I enjoyed the 1st few books but now? It's so repetitive like does anything ever happen besides Go tower >> shocked the tower is stronger than usual >> beat it anyway >> max gets stats/skills >> tell tom and GL >> they get shocked. Rinse and repeat. The Area fight might've been the only thing that was new and interesting through the whole book. I do feel that something interesting might happen at floor 50 but I am done with this book for now. Maybe I'll comeback in the future or not.
