An old friend. A new course. A deadly ship with a secret cargo.

Ishmael Wang returns to Port Newmar, but ghosts from his past have followed him. His old shipmate, Phillip Carstairs, offers him the opportunity to track down the man who killed his lover. The catch? He must take command of the Chernyakova, a ship that still stinks of death and haunts Ishmael's nightmares.

Together Phillip and Ismael begin a journey into unknown reaches of the Deep Dark to bring back the man who killed Greta.

Ishmael Wang is back and Lowell continues his story. I was so sad when I reach the end of the original books and am happy to be part of the continuation.

What is it they say, life is a circle; and so, it seems, Ishmael Wong seems to have gone full circle to end up back at the beginning in one sense.

Back at the Academy he meets up with the crew of his first clipper.

Where the journey goes from here promises one thing, it will be eventful.

A thoroughly enjoyable series which grows as it travels into the deep dark.

Where to Now?

Great to be able to carry on with Captain Wong and all the old characters . I found the narrater good to listen too a bit different from Nathan himself but he told the story well.
On to the next book now and will probably finish that in 2 days aswell!

brilliant

An interesting story and unusual in that it's not the usual seat-of-your-pants action. Nice to get a bit of background story and interesting throughout.

Enjoyable
