The immortal prince must fall.Callie:I’m on a quest to reach my sister, to claim her from the clutches of the vampires who seized my family and end the immortal life of the prince who claimed her. But the path this dark slayer is taking me on is rife with danger, though the kind he weaves is fast becoming my favourite temptation. Familiars watch us from the shadows, and one wrong move could see the vampires stalking us in the dark. But they aren’t my only concern anymore, because the gods of old are waking, and now one of them has their sights set on us. No matter what fate throws our way, I will rescue my family, even if it costs me everything.Montana:I fear this game will end in blood. I’m so deeply involved in Erik Belvedere’s cunning plans, and the cost is rising by the hour. I’ll do anything I can to protect my family, but this ritual only ends one way. A human bride for a vampire prince. And the game is getting more deadly. Elite vampires are showing up dead in the city, and I’m sure I’ve seen the killer before… If only I could act on logic, maybe this wouldn’t be so impossible. But I’m starting to crave the monster who holds me captive. If I can’t break free of his allure, how will I ever save myself and those I love?***This is a dark, fantasy romance series by the authors of Zodiac Academy with all the enemies to lovers vibes – don’t go expecting a sweet vampire with sparkling skin and a tendency to watch you sleeping. These vampires are savage and bloodthirsty, and the slayer who hunts them will stab first and ask questions later. This war-torn fantasy world is a brutal bi*ch and only those 18+ have a chance at surviving the darkness lurking in this audio. There’s no well-meaning vampires snacking on Bambies instead of babies, and if they get their teeth into you, you’ll be damn lucky to escape with your life and panties intact. So grab hold of your slayer blade (wooden stakes have too many splinters) and get ready to defy the gods, because this is going to be one helluva ride***.©2023 Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti (P)2023 Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti Fantastik Horror Kurgu Paranormal Paranormal Romantizm Romantik Kraliyet

This is yet another fantastic edition from the sisters.

Story:

Guys seriously. What are you doing to us. 😩😩

I should have expected a cliff hanger but that was ridiculous. I haven’t read a book by the sisters I haven’t enjoyed and after a slow start with eternal reign I was a little anxious to see if I would love this. I needn’t have worried. It was brilliant.

I was already pretty invested in Montanas journey but Callie really grew on me through this novel. I particularly enjoyed some of her banter with Magnar - ‘you make more noise with your feet than you do with your mouth, Callie Ford and that is saying a lot’ 😂

We’ve also started to see that promised spice slipping through and if this is just the start of what’s to come I am here for it *fans self*

I can’t wait for the next instalment and I’m annoyed I have to wait as long as I do. Well worth a read ♥️

Narration;
I loved the continuing contrast between the two sisters and our two main men. The audio really does add another dimension to the story and it’s so well done. The tension in high pressure moments really comes through and the spice is done really well (I find sometimes this can be a little awkward).

🦉 Twisted sisters on fine form again 🦉

I’m addicted 😊this book had me gripped.Loved the action definitely moved up a few gears from book one.
The characters are enthralling I want to know more and more.
The narration is so easy to listen to grabs you into the vampires world and keeps you even after book has ended.
Troy Duran does an amazing job as always. His voice is perfect for the characters as I imagine them.
I don’t want to spoil anything for any listeners but the cliffhanger😳.

Book 3 can not arrive fast enough.
Lose yourself in this book, you won’t regret it.

EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST BOOK.

After reading book one I was desperate to jump straight into book two and the wait until it was on audible was hard but worth it! This story delivered everything I loved about book one and threw in extra, some of which I didn't even realise I wanted, but I definitely did. Firstly the romance for turned up a notch and feel like there is definitely alot more to come. Secondly we got chapters from the male main characters, I didn't even think about hearing from them when listening to the first book, but it was the icing on the cake for this story. Pulling it all together so nicely and really filling in a few missing bits.

I love the authors of this series and have read a few of their books and already knew they could work redemption arc magic turning characters you love to hate into ones you just love but really struggled to see how they were ever going to get me rooting for Eric, but they worked their magic and I can already see myself cheering him on. Another thing they are brilliant at is world building and even though they did a brilliant job of that in book one it continues on to this book, bringing comedy, as well as key parts of the story.

If you love romance and vampires this is definitely a serious I'm recommending. I'm already desperate for the next installment. I feel like this take on a vampire story is actually a new one that I've never read before and I'm really enjoying something a bit different to the same old vampire stuff!

The only very slight negative is I struggle to tell the chapters apart if I miss the name at the beginning as they are read exactly the same. The performance is excellent though and this is probably me being a bit too picky!

The story I'd been waiting for....

Seriously this story…🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 it’s an amazing segment to the story with the added bonus of it feeling like an amazing arc on its own merit (meaning the single book within the series)
Vampires. Vampire hunters. Twins. Fighting. Laughter and tears. Just amazing! Well done twisted sisters.
Just to add Michelle and Troy (the narrators) have it spot on. To what goes on in my head. Congrats peeps!

Great next instalment!

A brilliant second book in the series, having already read the book I was surprised at how much I had forgotten or missed. The male narrator was a magical bonus I didn’t realise going into the story. And definitely made me indecisive about if I was team vampire or team slayer… one thing I do know …. I don’t like the gods and there trickery 😂 can’t wait for book 3
Oh and for those that where wondering still a slow burn but there’s is alittle more spice added 🥰🥵😂

Fantastic, dual narrators just added to the magic
