I knew I'd find my mate, but he doesn't want to be claimed.

It's my job as one of the alpha's enforcers to keep our pack safe, and with war brewing, I'm busier than ever. I should be wholly focused on my job, but when Stefan crosses my path, suddenly, I'm focused on him.

I've always wanted to find my fated mate, and now, I need to convince him that he's mine. The independent omega says he can take care of himself, but all my instincts are driving me to protect him.

How can I convince a man determined not to need anyone that I'll always be there for him?

War rages on around us, bringing us together in the strangest of ways. But as the violence gets worse and threatens the safety of the entire pack, will it be the thing that tears us apart?

Guarding His Mate (Everglow Pack Book 2)by Liam Kingsley and Jenny Tia.This story develops nicely. A good combination of world building and character development. If you like M/Preg and shifter this was a good listen.
The Narrator Mark Ruben did a good job bringing these characters and story to life.

I liked the storyline and the overall mystery of what was going on and the steamy scenes were super hot! My problem was two things: one, I just didn’t like Stefan I thought he was a jerk to nick for 99% of the story and I didn’t really understand his thinking processes at all. Two, to me, the narrator had made the characters sound much younger than grown adults more like teenaged surfer dudes and it really threw me off. Overall I thought it was pretty good and I’ll probably continue on in the story.

This is a brilliant story that continues on from the first book but features different main characters and emerges you back in the world. I found it fun and heartwarming to follow as Nicolas tries to court Stefan who is very resistant through past hurt. We also find out some more interesting information.

A fiesty omega guarding his damaged heart determined to give his fated mate a run for his money.
A tough and tender pack enforcer determined to give his fated mate everything he needs, not just what he believes he wants.
The underlying overall series plot is filled with danger, mystery, intrigue, and fast paced action.
