Kyrell Knight believes life is a game to be played and thoroughly enjoyed.

He rarely takes anything seriously, lives in the moment, and indulges in as much pleasure with women as possible. But the sarcasm, money, and women are an attempt to erase the memories of his past as he tries to forget what he came from. It works until his past wants to be a part of his present.

Kyrell reconnects with Quinn Halifax at their mutual best friend's engagement party. They spark up a friendship that quickly turns to flames when it becomes a superficial, no-strings-attached relationship.

Kyrell is struggling with his past, while Quinn is trying to secure her future. Neither is looking for more, but fate has other plans.

All I can say is this book speaks to my soul. 1st book I’ve read/listened to that’s brought me tears.

Unstable tears

This is the first ever book that hit home and caught me off guard, MASSIVELY! I definitely wasn’t expecting to be so emotionally invested where I had to stop listening to gather my feelings, cry it all out and resume the book a little later. A beautiful story with jokes. Weirdly enough I was so invested with the stories I forward the spicy scenes just to get to the next part (I don’t usually but that’s how invested I was). A stunning book and so glad I took the time out to read. I’m going into the last series and I will also be buying the paperbacks also. A story that highlights real things and also shows how a black man deals with things. AMAZING!

An emotional rollercoaster!

This feels like a complete story, it goes deep into the characters struggles and emotions eliciting responses you would have if they were real people. You can’t help but fall for the characters

A beautiful story
