Publicly humiliated, Marisa Banks is blindsided by the news that the man she's been dating for months is married.
Being called names she wouldn't wish on anyone in front of a room full of people by her boyfriend's wife is enough to shake her identity to its foundations. In an attempt to rebuild, she makes a few questionable decisions.
Asher Blaine is one of them. He's intelligent and sexy, but the pedestal he's got himself up on is unshakeable. Or so he thinks. Marisa asks for the one thing he can't deny her, even if it's the craziest thing he's ever done.
She wants one night, his best eight hours. And damn if he doesn't deliver. The next morning, her bubble is shattered by his loud mouth, and Marisa retaliates with a stiletto and a remote. The best night of her life is over, and she's more than happy to walk away a free woman.
Asher's job sends him to Marisa's city, and when they cross paths again, it's Asher's turn to make an offer. And just like him, she can't refuse.
Will her worst nightmare and his complicated past ruin what they're building, or can they lean on one another to make it through?

The Bad FMC male voice!!!

In the series it would’ve been rude not to listen to the final one- despite some reviews. This was a GREAT love story which had plenty of meat to keep a listener engaged (it’s not all about the spice 🌶️ after all!). Hats off to the author! But the female narrator was dreadful. She was such a comedown from the first 3 books. As I say, the story was great and Winston James held it together well and kept me engaged - thankfully! If you can endure every character she voiced sounding like they were on deaths door/ about to expire/ elderly and infirm/ not African-American, I would give it a chance and listen; but I warn you, she is up there on my list of most annoying narrators!
Great story - debatable FMC narration🫤

I wish I could give this 5 stars, but Nikko’s voice is horrendous. Like nails on a chalkboard board, like listen to Kristen Stewart. I wish they would’ve kept the narrator from the earlier books or just had Winston do this one alone, she ruined it. She made every male voice sound whiny and pathetic and her version of the friends didn’t match with how we know them to be previously.
A great end to the series
