When the remains of a young woman are found at the construction site of the new Govan-Partick Bridge, it appears to close a twenty-year-old cold case from DCI John Lomond’s earliest days as a detective.
But a retired detective – Lomond’s former boss – has a controversial theory that cost him his career.
This was no isolated case.
And the truth involves dozens of other cold cases, and an extraordinary cover-up by some of the most powerful police and legal officials in the country.
With the body count rising, Lomond and his team face a race against time to unmask a sadistic killer who’s been hiding in plain sight for decades.
In his most raw and emotionally charged thriller so far, Andrew Raymond captures the voices of his beloved home city, and takes you into its hidden depths.©2024 Andrew Raymond (P)2024 W.F. Howes Ltd

The ending was rushed, as though the author had a deadline to achieve or even had become bored with the story.
Narrator was fabulous as usual.
Abruptly ended - a very quick tieing up of details and reasons
