Introducing his autobiography, A Life in Parts, Bryan Cranston talks to us about embodying the infamous drug kingpin Walter White, the physical and emotional turmoil that comes with being an actor and how a difficult and oftentimes violent upbringing led him to become an unrelenting optimist.

Having first graced our screens at the age of seven, Bryan now has over 150 titles to his name, including Linwood Boomer’s hugely celebrated sitcom Malcom in the Middle and Vince Gilligan’s multiaward-winning Breaking Bad.

A fan of short stories, Brian presents A Life in Parts through a series of brief chapters which take the listener through a chronological journey of his life. Also an excellent guide for prospective actors, Brian imparts advice to those who are looking to make their mark in Hollywood.

Interesting self revelations from a great but winningly modest actor. Certainly makes me want to hear the autobiography.

Cranston always strikes me as honest and very candid about his own work and life. This short introduction to his memoir makes the reader eager to pick up the book - or to get the audiobook.

insightful, human, honest

Not the best interviewer. Audible requires the additional words as a somewhat silly purile policy.
