The third DS Logan McRae thriller in the No.1 bestselling crime series from Stuart MacBride.

A crime of passion … or cold-hearted murder?

‘MacBride is a damned fine writer’ Peter James

The Granite City’s seedy side is about to be exposed…

A serial rapist is leaving a string of tortured women behind him, but while DS Logan McRae’s girlfriend, PC Jackie ‘Ball Breaker’ Watson, is out acting as bait, he’s trying to identify a blood-drenched body dumped outside Accident and Emergency.

Logan’s investigations suggest someone in the local bondage community has developed a taste for violent death, and he soon finds himself dragged into the twilight world of pornographers, sex-shops and S&M.

Meanwhile, the prime suspect in the rape case turns out to be Aberdeen Football Club’s star striker. Logan thinks they’ve got it horribly wrong, but Jackie is convinced the footballer’s guilty and she’s hell-bent on a conviction at any cost…

Binge listening to the whole series great stories and narration. Really like the fact doesn't concentrate on just one crime investigation per book.

Totally Hooked

I am so glad that I found Stuart McBride. I am listening to the series in order and enjoying each and every one. All are different story’s (of course) with the same characters, each of which are fully rounded in their own right.

Steve Worsley is a great narrator with a lovely soft Scottish accent, you can tell which person is which without him resorting to “silly” voices.

The other good thing is, I have loads to go as Stuart seems to be quite a prolific writer. Looks like a have a long time of great listening ahead

Absolutely brilliant performance by Steve Worsley! I'm unfamiliar with a lot of the accents mentioned in the books and the narration provided by Steve Worsley using the accents really adds to the story and brings it to life. I re-read the books a couple of times, then added the Kindle versions and I'm now listening to the audible versions. Logan McRae is an absolute brilliant series and I hope there'll be more books in the future.

Can't get enough ....
