The tenth Logan McRae novel from the No.1 Sunday Times bestselling author.

Scottish crime fiction at its very best.

Some things just won’t stay buried…

When Detective Inspector Bell turns up dead in a crashed car, it’s a shock to everyone. Because Bell died two years ago. Or at least they thought he did.

Now Inspector Logan McRae has to work out where DI Bell’s been all this time – and what was so important that he felt the need to come back from the dead.

But the deeper Logan digs, the more bones he uncovers. And there are people out there who’ll kill to keep those skeletons buried…

A wonderful listen! MacBride seamlessly intertwines the horror and trauma of child abduction, with the humdrum rhythm of everyday life and produces a work that is gripping, emotive and humourous.

Most definitely a 5 Star listen!

Fantastic, characters, super writing, they are a must read. The Logan McRae series is set in Aberdeen, the Granite City, Oil Capital of Europe, perched on the east coast of Scotland. The banter is just so funny and fresh, I have read all 12 books and normally finish each one in about a week. I use Audible, the narrator, Steve Worsley is fantastic, yes there is couple of books in the middle that Stuart, reads, they are ok, but then Steve comes back.

Characters - Detective Sergeant, then, Detective Inspector Logan "Lazarus" McRae. My favourite, Detective Chief Inspector/Sergeant Roberta Steel, followed closely by Detective Sergeant Simon Rennie.
Detective Sergeant Bob "Biohazard Bob" Marshall, this man needs a pull through with a Christmas Tree.
PC (later DC) Stewart "Tufty" Quirrel, another excellent character, he is fab.

Steel, just get better with age.

The latest Logan McRae doesn’t disappoint. Rich characters, Scottish humour and clever storyline covering quite nasty subjects, plenty of twists with compassion swirled in.
Steve Worsley’s brilliant portrayal of all the characters each with their finite quirkiness delivers the full package.
Can’t wait for the next one ... although poor Laz needs some RnR to recover from his most recent ‘dice’ with death

MacBride at top of his game

this story is full of the usual gore and has an additional level of bile. Stuart keeps the reader interested by the plot and the characters wild ways. Keep up the good work.
