Under the Bodhi tree, something was found. The Dhamma follows what the Buddha taught from that night through all three turnings of the wheel, drawn from the Pali Tipitaka and the Sanskrit texts preserved in Nepal.
In twenty-five chapters, Rob Newton moves from the Four Noble Truths, the three marks and dependent origination through the Satipatthana Sutta, the jhanas, the factors of awakening, wisdom and nibbana as the canon actually describes it, and the four stages of liberation. He then opens the oldest voices, the Suttanipata and the Therigatha, before following the Prajnaparamita revolution, the bodhisattva path, the Lotus Sutra, the Buddha within, Vimalakirti, Nagarjuna, Yogachara and the King of Meditations. The book closes with the luminous mind and what all three turnings point to.
Each teaching is grounded in the sources and written to be practised, not only studied.
