Özet

"A compelling love story with real emotion...and the right amount of fantasy." (Joey W. Hill, award-winning author and recipient of the RT Book Reviews Career Achievement Award)

Everyone knows Jonathan Brond as the playboy congressman. They don't know he's hiding a second life - one he only shares with select women.

Christiana is tired of trying to stay afloat, at school, at home, and with her socialite best friend. She's desperate for something new, something different.

They shouldn't be together.

They shouldn't have ever met.

He'd be crazy to give in to his desire for her. She'd be crazy to accept his indecent offer - a proposition her best friend would kill for.

They are one step away from a scandal that could bring both their worlds down, but some temptations are too great to refuse.

I think the narrator did a great job with this story. She did the male pov/voice good aswell.

I love a forbidden love story and I liked the plot as well.

I quite enjoyed this audiobook

This book has light bdsm in it. I wouldn’t call it one of the better bdsm book it’s not so true to the lifestyle, I would say. And it is very elongated

Light BDSM

Would you listen to Lovely again? Why?

Yes. It's an engaging story with interesting and plausible characters, events and dialogue

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that it was primarily a romance story in which an older man helps a younger woman realise who and what she truly is

Which character – as performed by Anastasia Watley – was your favourite?

Christiana

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I could have arranged my day appropriately, quite possibly!

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed reading this as an e-book and enjoyed it just as much as an audiobook. The quality of the storytelling is excellent, the way the characters feel seems very plausible, and the love-making scenes are exciting but not seedy. In a fairer world, this would have been published before Fifty Shades of Grey, and been just as successful.

Excellent example of a good erotic romance

I loved how Elizabeth has written these characters, especially the leading lady. She is so strong but still submissive. Great storyline and fantastic narration from Anastasia.
