Twisted, intriguing and like a sticky tangled web this book keeps you guessing whilst keeping you hooked. There are the cast members we hate, those we like and then those who surprise you at the most unexpected times, I listened to this on Audible with Kindle Unlimited, I have already downloaded book 4 as I cannot wait for the outcome of our injured detective.

The mystery of the money travels through the book but we are still none the wiser

I am just binge listening to this series. The detective and her team work well together - the one thing I struggle with like with the other books is how she bypasses her line manager. I know that the relationship is very taut with the potential corruption etc, it just feels wrong but the story wouldn't work itself.

The crime itself is complex and draws you in alongside the personal issue where Kat is under investigation. The family dynamic is so toxic.
