This story was adorable in general and it makes you wonder... is this what happens during romance book conventions? ☺ Stacy and Gage are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to writing romance novels. Gage decides he need to help Stacy live. Overall, I enjoyed getting to know the characters (I liked Stacy’s internal monologue) and their banter led to many chuckles. I thought Stacy’s feelings about romance novels could have been a tongue-in-cheek representation of how some women feel about reading these types of books. Throw in a mini-mystery, some interesting supportive cast and it was an enjoyable book even if a little repetitive (with the steamy parts).

I listened to the audiobook. Heather Firth is a great narrator- good range of voices, nice pacing. She did a great job representing all the characters and making sure the comedic parts were well acted out.

This is a unique, funny, and well written story. The contradiction and chemistry between Stacey and Gage was amazing. This was a first read and listen with Heather Guimond and Heather Firth, but I will be anticipating more works from both.

After reading so many romances, I always wonder what the authors think, or how they would be if they met. This story is a fun look at just that. Sweet meets kink and the sparks are flying. Stacy writes sweet romances and she is seated next to Gage, who is well known for his sexier romances. These two must meet somewhere in the middle for them to be a couple, The getting to that middle was the best part of this story. The chemistry they have is instant. The inside look at two authors really was a fun read. I cannot wait for more in this series.

Heather Firth was amazing in her narration. She brought this story to life. Heather has a way of connecting with the characters. She brings out all of the chemistry, emotion and fun between Gage and Stacy. I always love listening to Heather and cannot wait for more.

I've never read Heather Guimond but I really enjoyed the storyline behind The Novel Approach. I found the idea of a sweet kind of PG-rated author sitting next to an X-rated erotic author totally adorable!! I found Stacy to be comically naive and Gage was forward and naughty! I found myself giggling quite a bit and smiling through the story. I think the message overall is a good one... live life.

Heather Firth narrated The Novel Approach fabulously! Really? I'd like to know why she isn't narrating more RomComs or sweet and witty romances? She was endearing and I enjoyed her narration a ton!

This is a great listen. This is a new to me author but I will be checking out more of her work for sure. So funny and well written. The story kept my attention from start to finish and had humor, heat, and mystery all wrapped up in one great book.

Stacy is a sweet romance writer and very shy. Gage is an erotica romance writer and all the women want his words to become a reality for them. When these two accidentally meet at a book signing they find they have more in common than they first thought.

I love listening to Heather Firth. She is an automatic yes for me as I have listened and loved lots of books she has narrated. She did a great job with this one as well. Her delivery is perfect, sense of humor is spot on and she makes listening a pleasure.

Loved it and highly recommend it.
