Sometimes with love, you have to play quick and dirty to get lucky....

I knew exactly what I was doing by setting my good-girl romance author image on fire. Becoming Reina Dare, a vixen writer who dominates the erotic fiction genre, is exactly who I was meant to be.

But Kent Kingsley is a distraction I didn’t see coming. It's a coin-flip whether I want to surrender to his sex appeal or punch him in his perfect, brooding face.

The damaged CEO of a lavish Las Vegas hotel and casino is an overly-confident, cocky playboy whose only romantic ambition is to send his women home with a smile.

The stakes have never been higher and just as my chance to catapult Reina Dare to the top is within my grasp, I risk it all. For him.

Kent makes my blood boil, and my body burn. There is no denying our chemistry is off the charts - in and out of bed. He’s every fantasy I’ve ever had.

He plays dirty, just the way I like it. But is it worth gambling my future for a chance at real love?

This is a fun, quirky fast romance. Thought Alexis or Reina was a bit naive to not see the Kingsley family making her stay put but loved the back and forth between her and Kent. Really loveable characters here and with outstanding narration by both Heather Firth and Aaron Shedlock who are amazing in their own right but as dual just work fabulously.

I was fortunate enough to win a copy of this audiobook and I’m leaving my honest opinion.

Really fun listen and it’s a series so I gotta check out the other books too!

Love these two narrators

QUICK DIRTY LUCK
Love Between The Pages Novel Book 2
By Heather Guimoud
Narrated by Heather Firth & Aaron Shedlock

Quick Dirty Luck is book two in the Love Between the Pages series. It was fabulous to have a romance author as the main character who finds love whilst managing a romance business which is just perfect for a romance reader. Alexis has to organise a venue in Vegas for an upcoming book event, when she finds the perfect place she ends up coming across Kent Kingsley the hotel owner and right from the off there is an instant attraction between them. Alexis decides to run but Kent has other ideas and peruses Alexis with some help along the way. I loved the mix of sexual tension, romance and the angst between the two which made their relationship very hot. Heather Firth and Aaron Shedlock did an amazing job and brought both characters to life that made this a fabulous listen.

I really liked the writing style and will try more by this author, however I didn't actually like this story. I somehow liked the characters even though I didn't like a lot of their actions. The bickering didn't bother me, however it was A LOT of games and general dishonestly (making people jealous, etc.).

The narration was great with dual narrators for the dual points of view, which I always appreciate. I would recommend listening to the audio version.

I enjoyed this story. I found it flowed well... There was a bit of a power struggle between Kent and Alexis. At times I wondered why she didn't tell Kent and his family to do one, because I know I would of! So at time I felt myself thinking "really, you're going to just go with this?" Other than that a nice easy listen.

Narration was top notch!

Just her luck...

A feisty, strong, author heroine and a hot hotelier meet in a bar....and a small conflagration is ignited! Alexis and Kent are destined to butt heads, but the attraction they have for each other is so strong..and insanely hot. With a great plot line involving a book convention in the making, (oh how I miss those!), our couple are fire and earth, with Kent an often clueless suitor!
This has been such a fun listen and both Heather Firth and Aaron Shedlock are excellent in the roles. They brought strength and nuance to their narration, bringing both humour and humanity to the story. 💖💖💖💖
