Lincoln Steele is definitely one of my top book boyfriends of 2025. If you like caretaker MMCs and acts of service kings, Lincoln is your man. Willa is a strong, determined woman who struggles to accept help and pushes herself constantly – even while living with chronic pain. Lincoln refuses to let her run herself into the ground, offering care and support in a way that never feels overbearing. Their banter is amusing, their chemistry is sizzling, and their text exchanges were one of my favourite parts of the story. He’s been into her for years and jumps at every opportunity to call her “wife.” I was laughing, swooning, and grinning throughout. There’s a third-act conflict that threatens their relationship, but the way they handle it – especially Lincoln – made me love them even more. You can tell they’re a couple who are going to last well beyond the epilogue.
As always, I loved the side characters in this world. There’s so much warmth, humour, and support in the Starlight Cove community. If you’re looking for strong found family vibes, pick up a Brighton Walsh book – you won’t be disappointed. I also loved the dynamic between the Steele brothers; their playful jabs at each other and unwavering support for one another were genuinely heartwarming.
My only issue with this book is the lack of explanation for why Willa was so hostile towards Lincoln. I was expecting some third act revelation of some childhood misunderstanding that started this whole thing, but it never came. While the book is marketed as enemies to lovers, it’s clear from the start that Lincoln has feelings for her, so it reads more like a one-sided dislike to love, with no clear reason given for the initial dislike.
The narration was amazing. Savannah Peachwood is one of my favourites, but I've been sleeping on JF Harding. (I like his work, but I never purposefully look for it). They did a phenomenal job bringing the story to life, conveying the chemistry between the characters perfectly and making the listening experience truly immersive.
If you love marriage of convenience romances with a golden retriever, caretaker/ acts of service MMC, lots of banter, sizzling chemistry, and found family vibes, you should definitely pick this up.
Funny, swoony, heartwarming

I had high expectations for this book since I loved the previous two so much but this exceed it! Linc is my favorite brother and I love how funny and easygoing he is or appears to be while also being obsessed with Willa and loyal and protective over his friends and family.
And Willa, she did not have an easy time, literally carrying everything on her own and bearing the pain and also letting Linc in but underneath her grumpiness is a sweet and loving woman and I loved their connection.
JF Harding is one of my favorite narrators because he has the ability to make a character instantly lovable and adds a lot of humor, that was the case again with Linc. Altough Linc is a loveable charachter altogether (I already loved him in the live-in situation) JF made him funny and hot at the same time. The banter between Linc and Willa was AMAZING!
And Savannah, this was my first book that I have listened to wither her narration but I loved her instantly, she made sassy Willa truly come to life
Give me a husband like Linc please

Lincoln is now my number one Steele Brother. He is my dream book boyfriend, He's kind, caring and considerate with the filthiest mouth of all the brothers so far. He came to Willa's rescue and took care of her and her chronic pain condition with no questions asked. He worked hard to break down the walls she had put up. The banter had me laughing out loud and the spice literally had me sweating and biting my lip. Willa our FMC is sassy and independent...the narration was truly amazing too.
