Leo and Anna have been best friends since they were children however as they grew older, they both realize their feelings for each other are deeper but both are reluctant to cross that line. Just when it seems like it is finally their time outside intervention by someone determined to keep them apart drives a wedge between them.
It takes a while for Leo and Anna to find their way back to each other, but it is well worth the wait. They prove they are perfect for each other both in love and when it comes to the school as their support is unwavering and it only makes them and their relationship stronger. This story is told from the position of three characters and each narrator brings out the personality of their character perfectly, so you have an understanding of their motivations and emotions. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Can they over all of the things thrown their way? Or does Dean win out in the end? This is very worth the time it takes to listen. Chloe Ryan, Michael Gallagher and Gregory Salinas are excellent at what they do and did an excellent job with this story!

Anna Wilk is Leo's best friend, they have grown up together like family and are inseparable.
Once they arrive at Kingmakers, the challenges they face seem insurmountable, I couldn't fathom a way to fix it all. I didn't like the way things declined and I hated the rift between them and wanted so much more for them.
Enter Dean Yenin, he stole my damn little black heart instantly and I wanted to see him be a better person, he was the ultimate antihero and I loved and hated it all the same. I want to see the sunshine through his darkness but the more the story went on the more I was afraid there was no light in him. The darkness had buried itself too deep for too long and he was drowning in it. I hated it and the fact that he dragged everyone down with him, but my heart must not be as black as I thought because I'm still holding out hope someone will capture his heart and tame the beast.
I loved watching Dean and Anna but it didn't feel right, it wasn't meant to be and it was obvious for me but I wanted there to be redemption for Dean, even though this book gives you an HEA, you can tell there is still more to the story that hasn't been told and still needs to be told and I can't wait to see how things unfold from here.
The ending of this book had me reeling and worried and I didn't think I was going to get the HEA I had so desperately wanted and the characters had so desperately fought for. This book has captured my full attention and I can't wait to get the next book and see where things go from here.
Chloe Ryan, Michael Gallagher, Gregory Salinas were amazing! I am obsessed with Gregory Salinas and I am becoming that way with Michael Gallagher, they are always amazing! This was the first time I listened to Chloe Ryan but she was spectacular as Anna. I loved this audio so much!
