This my first listen to the Dover Cafe series but it won't be the last!
Good story line, well ready.
I was born in Dover just after the war so saw much of the damage inflected. I recall my Mother talking about the shelling that Dover suffered. We used to visit the Cafe and Bakers, Igglesden and Graves, which is used in the story run by Nelle Castle. Thanks for the memories.

I have loved every last second of this series and I now feel lost with no further books available. please please please tell me there will be more!!! I have felt like part of the Castle family and am very invested in these characters.
Easy to listen to, never boring and you come to understand the very individual personalities of each and every character.

Really love this series of books.... BUT.... It might just be me, but I found it a little hard to keep up with all the characters and their separate storylines, as there are so many characters . Maybe I need to listen a second time to absorb it all properly? 😂

This is the third of this series. it was equally enjoyable as the previous two. Characters now so familiar and I was totally interested and engaged as their lives further unfolded. Very moving and narrator made it an easy listen. I hope there will be another as would love to know what happens next.

I love these series of books. I lived in Dover for 3 years. Living in Army Barracks and I had no idea of the situation in the war in Dover and these books have brought it alive. Amazing I can’t wait until the next book.
