Attending a party with my stepbrother, I'm in for the surprise of my life.

It's not a regular party, but instead, my wedding. To Angelo Rizzo. A coldhearted man who's feared by all. Including me.

Turns out my stepbrother owes the Cosa Nostra money, and I'm being used to repay his debt to Angelo Rizzo.

Do I have a choice?

No. Not when it comes to matters concerning the Cosa Nostra.

Three hours later, I have a new shiny wedding ring on my finger and a husband I'm terrified of standing by my side.

Yep, my life just took a turn for the worse.

There's no hiding. No running.

All I can do is face the nightmare that awaits me and pray I'll survive being married to Angelo Rizzo.

From USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Michelle Heard comes a new standalone, full-length mafia romance novel. Intended for mature listeners.

This booking is so good and I will be reading the other ones, but Tori is so annoying and the voice actor did not help me like her at all.

Tori 🙄

Woweeee what a gripping Very Cleverly Written tale. About a Mafia Boss man & his Love for the Innocent Sister in law, of one of "The Wasters" of the family of the Mafia !

Something that I really liked is that Angelo from the first moment was instant in love and devoted to Tori... he never doubted her and he gave her the time and love that she deserved and needed. But Tori especially at the beginning of the story, it's like she was looking for excuses to think badly of him, it was strange because he never treated her badly and she lived being afraid of him or thought he hated her and from day 1 he treated her well. I got angry at her hahaha. Something that I really liked was that plot twist in the third act that drastically changed the villain that I didn't see coming... it made the ending more interesting. It was a great start to the series. I will definitely continue it! The narrators were good, I enjoyed it a lot more because of them.

I don’t know how to feel

Ive read a lot of dark romances recently and I think i just needed a cleanse. This was a nice story to listen too. The only thing I didn’t expect, just from the way the FMC is written, is for her to sleep with him as quickly as she did. I thought she would at least wait a few days to get to know the guy, rather than a few hours.

The last few hours the story kicks off, which is what we are waiting for. I was worried as there were only 2hrs left, that it would be a rush ending. I thought it worked out well. although I would of preferred it was giving more time to play out. I think it could of been a more exciting story that way.

overall a nice read, but from this story and reading the comments on the next book, nothing is pushing me to continue with the series.

it's nice, not really that dark
