Book 2 in the Starlight Cove series is a firends to lovers delight! Everly moved to Starlight Cove two years ago after he aunt passed away and left her home & business to Everly in her will. Beck McKenzie doesn't do people, he likes to be left alone and interact with others as little as possible, well Everly decided she was having none of that and forced her way into his life and they formed a friendship everyone but the two of them can see is meant to be more. After a fire at her home Everly needs a place to stay etc and Beck refuses to let her stay anywhere other than his one bedroomed apartment above the diner he runs for the family business so I'm sure you can see where this story goes.

Friends to lovers isn't usually a favourite of mine but this one I loved, although Everly is oblivious to Beck at the beginning once the blinkers come off she is all in and Beck has been down bad for her for a long time, especially thanks to the smutty book club they have fallen into reading together so he has first hand knowledge of the kinds of things that rev Everly's engine and boy does he use that knowledge to his advantage when the time comes. The spice in this is fantastic and only adds to the development and connection between these two in my opinion, plus as I've said before a MMC with a filthy mouth is like catnip to me so this was just *chefs kiss. It is narrated by Stephanie Rose & Connor Crais in Duet style narration. They both do an incredible job but honourable mention has to go to Mr Crais as his deep gravely voice was just perfection as Beck! Thank you Brighton Walsh for your casting choices! Another reread and again just as great as the first time I read it. 🌶🌶🌶🌶

it lacked a punch. and it seems to more erotica then romance. apparently 15 words are required here is one word good luck

I think I messed up and listened to The Grump Next Door (which is definitely 5*), so I had the same expectations with this one. The narration was great but the story wasn’t.

Love these stories about this family. The banter between the brothers and their sister is wonderful.What is lovely is that these stories have a cross over into the other stories such as The Grump next door and his family.Mabel makes me chuckle, where does Brighton Walsh get her ideas from?

The narrators were perfect, just love Connor Crais voice.
