About this listen

An all-new Star Trek movie-era adventure!

While attempting to settle in as commandant of Starfleet Academy, Admiral James T. Kirk must suddenly contend with the controversial, turbulent integration of an alien warrior caste into the student body—and quickly becomes embroiled in conflict when the Academy controversy escalates to murder. Meanwhile, Captain Spock of the USS Enterprise and Commander Pavel Chekov of the USS Reliant are investigating a series of powerful cosmic storms seemingly targeting Federation worlds—unstoppable outbursts emitting from the very fabric of space. Endeavoring to predict where the lethal storms will strike next, Spock and Chekov make the shocking discovery that the answer lies in Commander Nyota Uhura’s past—one that she no longer remembers….

you could enjoy this if you can ignore fundamental flaws. one example? spock thinks to himself "(some Vulcan dude was right) every individual counts and can make a difference. indeed a simple civilian can make a change that is felt planetwide, even galaxy-wide whereas a king could be forgotten. every individual is important" then like 30 mins later "logical that any changes such a time ago would make no difference to the galaxy and universe to a whole and be swallowed up over time"

several contradictory things like that. plus it has numerous 'modern takes' on things that are common in today's world but not in Star Trek when this was set.

but the story as a whole was very enjoyable. and the dude who reads it gets the main cast's voices spot on in their cadence and inflection.

very good. with fundamental plot flaws

not bad but not too exciting

Vilka effekter gav denna händelse i hennes liv?

Då jag hört Robert Petkoff som inläsare av Star Trek-böcker tidigare måste jag bara säga att han denna gång verkligen överträffat sig själv. Riktigt bra inläsning och gestaltning av de olika rösterna.

Grymt imponerande

Morality problems mixed with the unknown. This featured all the crew and they all had their time to shine.

This is Star Trek
