This thrilling Star Trek adventure follows James T. Kirk, Spock, and Dr. McCoy as they travel thousands of years into the past.

Time in the galaxy has stopped running in its normal course. That can mean only one thing—the Guardian of Forever is malfunctioning. To save the universe, Starfleet reunites three of its most legendary figures—Admiral James T. Kirk, Spock of Vulcan, and Dr. Leonard McCoy—and sends them on a desperate mission to contact the Guardian, a journey that ultimately takes them 5,000 years into the past. They must find Spock’s son Zar once again, and bring him back to their time to telepathically communicate with the Guardian. But Zar is enmeshed in troubles of his own, and soon Kirk, Spock, and McCoy find themselves in a desperate struggle to save both his and their world. It wasn't strictly necessary after Tomorrow's Son. But nice to see what had happened to Zar. After listening to many regular audiobooks, I found all the sound effects a bit distracting at first. But eventually I came to like them. It's super short and more of a radio play, than a traditional audiobook. If you have that mentality going in, you should enjoy it.

considering they manage to save theentire universe this time, this is a lacklustre affair that will make little sense to anyone who has not read or heard yesterdays son.

not their finest hour

I know it used to be a trend but it's a shame they haven't been replaced yet by unabridged versions.
The story is so butchered by this and its not like it was already top notch.
Avoid even if you are a fan of Star Trek.

I really hate these abridged versions
