About this listen

Someone has a secret. A secret worth killing for....

When a series of suicides, linked to the Wellness Spirit Centre, turn out to be murder, it brings together DCI Whitney Walker and forensic psychologist Dr Georgina Cavendish for another investigation. But as they delve deeper, they come across a tangle of secrets and the very real risk that the killer will strike again.

As the clock ticks down, the only way forward is to infiltrate the centre. But the outcome is disastrous, in more ways than one.

For fans of Angela Marsons, Rachel Abbott and M A Comley, Lethal Secret is the fourth book in the Cavendish & Walker crime fiction series.

Includes a special bonus note from the author.

Critic reviews

"Narrator Clare Corbett flawlessly creates the accents and setting of Lenchester, England, while introducing Detective Chief Inspector Whitney Walker and her polar opposite, psychologist Georgina Cavendish.... Corbett's best creation is pathologist Clare Dexter whose eccentricities add a bit of levity. The well-rendered step-by-step procedural, with its gripping conclusion, makes for an exceptional listen." (AudioFile Magazine, review of Cavendish & Walker)

Gripping story and Unexpected end. Narrator Clare Corbett was brilliant and I shall enjoy listening to her again. Well done Sally Rigby.

Excellent

Been enjoying this series so far but I don't know if the rest are worth paying for. They are too short to be worth a credit really. Also the protagonists are painfully straight despite there being some subtext in the first book which is a shame lol. Still enjoyable though and the narrator does a really job of all the different voices!

Really enjoyable series as long as it's free

Compulsive reading (listening) . Great story and narration. Can’t wait to start the next one ! Not too many characters to confuse me but enough to keep the reader guessing.

Couldn’t put it down.

I love this series of books. The interplay between DCI Walker and George is great. I also liked the epilogue from the previous book. I hope future books have an epilogue for this one. Narrative was really good.

Great story lots of tension
