This wasn't my favourite In Death book just because a Eve and Roarke spend most of the book in a fight which disturbs me. I think it was necessary for the plot and development but I like them to be close so that's why it wasn't my favourite but still a good story.

Horrific, brutal and very, very personal.
It's a double pronged attack, a police officer in Roarke's club, it hits them both hard and causes more than a few heated confrontations between Eve and Roarke, thankfully their relationship is solid enough to last through the storm of this case. As more cops are hit and Roarke's past is once again front and centre, Eve finds herself ostracized by her colleagues....which only makes her more determined to bring down the dirty.
It's dark and twisted, packed with corruption, questions and horror - exactly what we expect from this In Death series.

I have never had an In Death book that I haven't enjoyed an this was no different. Cops are dying the murderer another cop or a bad mans flunky only Lt Eve Dallas and her team can bring the murderer to justice.

I just can't get enough of these books. the characters are so well written that you feel like you know these people and the story grips you hard and doesn't let go!
